'Star Treatment' founder, Michelle Rowland, has worked in the wedding industry for more than 13 years. Michelle, a happily married mother of two, is very passionate about her work as a wedding planner. She loves people and loves making people happy. She enjoys working hard to fulfill the vision and dream for her brides and grooms. The idea for 'Star Treatment' grew as Michelle planned her own wedding eight years ago. As she set about creating her perfect day, Michelle wished she could have enlisted the help of an extra pair of hands - a perfectionist with an eye for detail.

Michelle quickly realised that being the bride meant she couldn't be in two places at once. Michelle saw the need for a wedding coordination service that offered exactly what she wanted; high quality, dedicated and passionate professionalism at a price that is affordable and within reach to all brides, not just the rich and famous.
Among her successes, Michelle has been an on-air wedding expert at 2GB, a guest speaker on make-up application techniques for a national cosmetic company and a make-up artist to elite dancers at the Sydney Opera House.
Michelle, too, is a dancer. She performed in the Opening and Closing ceremonies at the Sydney 2000 Olympics. She has danced at international Rugby League matches, State of Origin games, nine Rugby League grand finals and numerous corporate events.
She also twice travelled to the United States on dance tours. Michelle draws on this creative background in the performing arts for inspiration in helping to create dream weddings. She understands that every couple should be able to enjoy their own special day. And she believes every bride truly deserves the Star Treatment.
With almost 20 weddings to her credit, in the five years she has spent as a wedding planner, Michelle decided in March this year that it was time to step up her business. She attended the Wedding Planning Course run by Wedding Inc. Why? Funny, that is the exact question her proud husband asked her. Michelle felt that she was running on pure adrenalin and passion, which are great attributes to make a successful wedding planner. She felt she was treating wedding planning as a paid hobby rather than a professional business. At times Michelle thought she was almost pretending to be a professional wedding planner because the majority of her weddings were through family and friends and everybody was on "mates rates".
Michelle treated the day after her course at Wedding Inc as the first day in her business life. In the nine weeks since completing the course, she has designed a brand new logo, has printed brand new brochures, is currently updating her website, has embraced the title of "professional wedding planner" at one wedding, and is currently organising her first bridal expo which just happens to be the first bridal expo that the prestigious Bondi Icebergs has ever hosted.
Michelle said " Paula from Wedding Inc really helped take 'Star Treatment' to a new level. Not only did she incorporate into the course the fact that I already had wedding planning experience, but she helped break down the barriers I was putting up that were holding my business back from being truly professional. I left the course armed with professional templates, contracts and hundreds of fantastic pieces of business advice. She taught me to seize every opportunity and to promote 'Star Treatment' to venues and suppliers and the worst thing that could happen is that I would receive a no. Since then, I have put that sound advice into action. I not only ask suppliers to display my brochures, I also ask them to provide my VIP's (my couples) with a 10% discount. I also practice what I preach, and in turn, I present them with my beautiful brand new gift vouchers that they can give as a gift to their clients, with 10% off all 'Star Treatment' services. It is my mission, along with Wedding Inc, to break down the notion that wedding planners are only for the rich and famous."
Since completing the Wedding Inc course, Michelle seized an opportunity after meeting the function manager of Bondi Icebergs and is currently co-producing the inaugural Bondi Icebergs "Weddings On Display". It will be an intimate and very classy bridal expo that will showcase the iconic Bondi Icebergs. Michelle is loving every minute she is out there cementing new business relationships. With her new found confidence she has met with numerous suppliers such as florists, a diamond wholesaler, photographers and celebrants. She has thrown herself into the role with zest and has organised the giveaway bags for the expo, the logo stamp so that they will be branded, wedding chocolates for every bride that attends and free wine tasting, free canapés and free cup cake sampling for all guests.
So would Michelle recommend the course by Wedding Inc? Her response to this question was " Absolutely!! It has changed my attitude to my business. It has given me confidence to succeed and extend my business. If anyone is contemplating attending Paula's course, they are more than welcome to phone me on 0416 175 075 or e-mail me at
